For our trusted partner, a leading digital marketing agency operating in 20+ countries, we’re looking for a:

Head of Software Development

The position’s responsibilities will include overseeing development projects, fostering collaboration, and driving excellence in software development practices. In addition, you will need to manage a geographically dispersed team, with regular travel to Malta and Cameroon.

Team Leadership and Development
-Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members to foster a collaborative and
productive work environment.
-Develop and implement training and mentorship programs to enhance team members’ skills and
knowledge.
-Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear goals and expectations for team members.
-Recruit, hire, and onboard top-tier developers to build a high-performing development team.
Project Management:
-Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all development projects, ensuring they meet
quality, timeline, and budgetary goals.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and quality assurance, to
align development efforts with company objectives.
-Monitor project progress and implement strategies to mitigate risks and address issues as they
arise.
Innovation and Technology Strategy
-Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development.
-Drive innovation within the development teams, identifying opportunities for process improvements
and technological advancements.
-Define and execute a clear technology strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term goals.

Good fit would be a professional with:
-3+ years experience in managing and leading high performing teams of talented developers, QAs, Devops and IT people
-Extensive knowledge in WordPress is a must
-5+ experience in design, delivery, and implementation of business applications and/or technology solutions, preferably in PHP and/or JS
-Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile and Lean methodologies
-Hands on experience with CI/CD, DevOps Culture, Cloud operations
-High level of emotional intelligence such as self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills
-Fluency in English, written and verbal communication.
-Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
-Strong time management, organisational skills, personal accountability, and drive
-Incredible problem-solving abilities, ambitious and creative
-High business acumen and ability to participate and drive technical discussions with cross-functional teams
